About Zenith Ai
Zenith is building a software Bio Studio that mobilises best-in-class machine learning for future Biotechnology. Our vision is to be the standard for end-to-end AI creation that delivers in the real world. Founded in 2020 by a team of experienced and successful AI entrepreneurs, our team has rapidly progressed the development of our core software which enables non-experts to rapidly build and deploy purpose-built AI applications.
At Zenith the customer use-case comes first and to achieve this, AI requires tooling that is wholly intuitive and light-years ahead of those in use today.
As a stealth-mode startup, recently acquired, our online presence is currently limited but we gladly fill in detail throughout the application process.
About the role
Zenith wishes to recruit a Principal Machine Learning Researcher or Principal Research Scientist. You will have a curious and diligent mind: an action-oriented problem solver with a drive to raise the technical bar, deliver results and innovate. You will be comfortable challenging the norm; always on the lookout for new ideas, assessing their value, effectively communicating, implementing, and improving them. You will be comfortable in leading a team of scientists, managing complex projects and being a thought leader.
You will have a track record of leading research groups in Industry or University with a major emphasis on Machine Learning or Applied Machine Learning. You will be equally content prototyping using new ideas, as well as upholding the standards for delivering production-ready solutions.
Having excellent interpersonal skills and enjoying working in a highly iterative, agile, and collaborative team environment, you will be comfortable working within a team of the brightest minds, relishing the opportunity to solve complex problems together, learning from and sharing knowledge as peers.
Qualifications

PhD in Machine Learning or a cognate discipline from a leading University

>5 years of relevant industry research leadership/Lecturer experience

Extensive experience in NLP

Great mentoring skills and leadership experience, and an the ability to influence colleagues at various levels

Excellent communication skills, written and oral, on-line and in-person

Record of publications in leading conferences and journals

Record of research grants and partnerships for academic profiles desirable

Knowledge and experience of Python, and ML technologies such as: OpenCV, Gensim, BERT, SpaCy, NLTK, PyTorch, HuggingFace, Tensorflow, Deeplearning4j

A demonstrable understanding of Geometric Deep Learning or Graph Neural Networks is advantageous
